PostMetric Scholarship For Muslim/Christian Minorities

Government of India has Instituted Scholarship for Minority students who are pursuing their post metric courses. This is an attractive scholarship for the uplift of minorities. KVPY Scholarship For Brilliant Minds

Kishor vaigyanik protsahan Yojana(KVPY) is a program instituted by Department of Science and Technology, Govt.of India through Indian Institute of Science(IISC) to encourage students of science, engineering, and medical to pursue a research career.

If you are a students of XI,XII or Degree I or II year(Science, Engineering/Medical), you are eligible to apply. The stipend for XI,XII,Degree(Science) is 4000-7000 per month and for Engineering/Medical it is 5000-7000 per month, which is a great attraction.

The selection criteria is based on your marks(at least 75%) and you may need to do a project and present in Indian Institute of Science.

KSBCDC Loan Scholarship For Backward claases

Why can't we call an education loan at an interest rate as low as 4% as a loan scholarship? When our economy is growing at a rate of 8% and an inflation of 11.5% certainly 4% is negligibly small. More over getting a tax benefit during your employment for the interest you are going to repay.


Lets look at the educational loan scheme from Kerala Backward classes development corporation(KSBCDC), which covers 90% of your education expenditure subject to a maximum of 50000 per year.

Minority Scholarship For Christian and Muslim Students

Indian Government is giving minority scholarships to Christian and Muslim students through state government to pursue professional education. Out of the total 20000 scholarships government instituted kerala students will get a total of 1469 scholarships. Out of this 830 is allotted for Muslims and 639 for Christian minority. Only students whose parental income is less than 2.5 laks per annum are eligible to apply for this. Currently the scholarship is offering only in technical/professional education. Central Sector Scheme(CSS) of Scholarship For College and University Students

The Ministry of Human Resources Development(MHRD) has instituted Central Sector Scheme(CSS) scholarship to provide financial assistance to meritorious students who are financially backward.
The scholarship shall be awarded to the students who got admission to Graduate/postgraduate including professional colleges and who have scored a minimum 80% in their Higher Secondary(+2) Examination.
A total of 82000(41000 each for boys and girls) will be distributed state wise amongst pass outs of the Science, Commerce and Humanities streams of the Board in the ratio of 3:2:1 with equal number among boys and girls
The awardee will get 1000/Rs per month for the first three years and 2000/month for the rest of the two years. The renewal of the scholarship is based on the promotion to the next year , provided he/she should get a minimum of 60% mark
